Welcome to the website of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

Under New Jersey law, the county prosecutor functions as the chief law enforcement officer for the county. As a constitutional officer, I am charged with the obligation to use all reasonable and lawful diligence in the detection, arrest, indictment and conviction of people who violate the criminal laws of our state. To that express mission I add the obligation to educate the public about the criminal justice process, and to support efforts to detect and deter criminal activities.

Ocean County has experienced great growth and change in the past few years. People have discovered Ocean County is a great place to raise a family, to work, or to retire. While there are benefits to growth and change, we have unfortunately experienced the negative side effects of growth, including increased traffic accidents, white collar crime and street crimes, to name a few. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office works in partnership with local law enforcement to maintain and preserve our enhanced quality of life in our communities.

It is an honor to serve as your Prosecutor. I have been granted the opportunity to serve the public in a unique way, and at the same time I enjoy working with Assistant Prosecutors, Detectives and Support Staff who are truly dedicated to our special mission: to serve and protect the citizens of Ocean County.
