Multi-Disciplinary Team



A multidiciplinary team for response to child abuse allegations includes representation from the following: law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical, mental health, and victim advocacy.

The Ocean County MDT is a group of professionals representing various disciplines and works collaboratively from the point of report to assure the most effective coordinated response possible.

The Ocean County MDT is comprised of representatives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office/Special Victim’s Unit, the Division on Children and Families (North and South Region), St. Francis Counseling Center, Dorothy B. Hersch Regional Child Protection Center and K. Hovnanian’s Children’s Hospital Child Protection Center.

Cases are reviewed on a monthly basis.
